It’s been a great but busy start to 2016 for Activetainment. 2015 was an incredible year for us and 2016 is already shaping up to be even better. We’re working hard to get all of our plans keep following us on this blog and on our social media platforms to hear all of our latest news. Trust us, we have lots coming!

Here’s a quick overview of what we've been up to and what we’re looking forward to in the next couple of months…

As with last year, a big focus for us will be to showcase and demo the ebove bike to as many fitness professionals, potential partners and members of the public as possible.

Some of the events we're getting ready for include:

  • Sportsmaster Temakveld, Nesbru, Norway 11 February

Next Thursday, 11 February, Activetainment will be attending a special evening event hosted by Norwegian fitness equipment distributor, Sportsmaster, dedicated to learning about the best running techniques.

Norwegian running stars, Henrik Ingebrigtsen, who competed in the 1500m at the 2012 Olympics, and former athlete, Ingrid Kristiansen, 10,000m European Champion 1986 and World Champion 1987, will share their experiences and tips on how to best prepare and train for both short and long distance races.  We will be taking and demoing an ebove bike at the event. The event will take place at Sportsmaster's showroom in Nesbru, just outside of Oslo.

For more information and to register, please email or call +47 977 53 995. Please RSVP by 9 February. The event is free to attend.

We’re looking forward to attending the annual Treningsmessen next Friday and Saturday (12 and 13 February). Treningsmessen, which takes place at Norges Varemesse (just outside Oslo), is one of Norway’s biggest fitness trade shows. Friday 12 February is a designated ‘industry day’, where we’ll demo the ebove bike to potential distributors and industry specialists. Saturday 13 February will be open to the public, so anyone is welcome to come and try the bike. We’re shortly launching a Facebook competition to win tickets, so keep checking our page for details!

Activetainment is thrilled to have been selected to be part of STARTnordic’s delegation to attend the Launch Festival in San Francisco in March. The trip is part of an initiative to showcase some of the region’s most promising startups and promote the thriving Nordic startup scene to the US.

The Launch Festival is one of the largest startup events in the world and brings together entrepreneurs, startups, investors, media and business experts. Activetainment is super excited to have been selected as one of six startups to represent Norway! Find out more about the programme here.

  • TaiSPO, Taipei, Taiwan 2-5 March

Now in its 43rd year, TaiSPO is one of Asia’s most important B2B sporting and fitness industry events. The exhibition brings together equipment manufacturers, industry experts and leaders and international media to show off the latest fitness innovations and groundbreaking designs for the industry. We’ll be attending alongside our manufacturing partner to demo the ebove bike to some of the major players in the Asian fitness world.

We’ll post more details about the other events we’re attending soon, but they will include, amongst others:

We've also been working to get involved with some more aspects of the entrepreneurial and business community in Oslo. We were paid a visit by Norwegian training programme specialists, Trainee Sør. The centre provides training and employment opportunities for school leavers in the South of Norway.

The most people we've ever had in the office...!

21 students and their programme managers came to our office to hear more from Sondre, Jørgen and Jan-Arild about their ebove journey and how they got started working in the industry. And of course try out the bike!

This was a great success for us and we hope to work with similar organisations and initiatives in the future (it was also the first time we've had nearly 30 people in the office...!)

We have some really exciting developments in terms of distributors and partners which we can tell you about soon, alongside other news and updates so stay posted and keep following this blog and our social media pages.
